In Skubana, there are two options for automatically assigning shipping providers, services, and package types to orders based on the requested services from the sales channel.

The first option can be done by creating shipment mappings for sales channels. The second option can be done by assigning shipping providers and services by orderbot. This article covers both!

NOTE: The shipping provider, service, and packaging type set by an orderbot will override any shipment mappings created for the sales channel.

How to Assign Shipping Providers, Services, and Package Type via Shipment Mappings

To create shipment mappings, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to Skubana.

2. Go to the Settings module.

3. Click on Sales Channels.

4. Click into the row for the sales channel that you want to create shipment mappings for and click on the Edit button.

5. Click on the Shipment Mappings tab.

6. Click the Add Mapping button.

7. Input the Channel Service. The Channel Service field refers to the requested service from the sales channel. The Channel Service entered here must EXACTLY match the requested service from the sales channel. To double check which requested services are being communicated from the sales channel, go to the Orders module and scroll to the right until you see the Req. Service column.

8. Input the Shipping Provider, Service, and Package Type for this Channel Service. When Skubana downloads an order with this Channel Service, the Shipping Provider, Service, and Package Type will automatically be assigned to the order.

9. Once you've added all of the shipment mappings you want to create for this sales channel, click the Save button.

In the example above, all orders with the Channel Service Free Shipping will automatically be assigned Endicia, USPS First-Class Mail, and My Packaging.

How to Assign Shipping Providers, Services and Packaging Type via Orderbots

To create orderbots that assign shipping provider, service, and packaging type to orders, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to Skubana.

2. Go to the Settings module.

3. Click on Orderbots.

4. Click on the New Orderbot button. To learn more about orderbots, click here. For information on how to create orderbots, click here.

  1. Orderbot Filters: Add the filter "Requested Service (Marketplace Value)" to the orderbot. The "Requested Service" field is the requested service from the sales channel. The Requested Service entered here must EXACTLY match the requested service from the sales channel. Additional filters can be added if you need to target specific orders with this requested service.

  2. Orderbot Actions: Add the action "Set Provider/Service/Package". Set the specific shipping provider, service, and packaging type.

  3. Click the Save button.

In the example above, all orders with the Requested Service Free Shipping with a total weight that's less than or equal to 15.9 ounces will automatically be assigned Endicia, USPS First-Class Mail, and My Packaging.
