Many of the reports in the Analytics module are exportable as Microsoft Excel files. Exporting reports makes it easy to perform what-if scenario analysis using Excel's Pivot Table function.
Follow the steps below to export a report.
1. Generate the report, then click the Export icon at the top right. In this example, we generated the Top Sellers Report.
2. In the Export Top Sellers window, click Export. You will then be notified that your file is being generated and a download link will be emailed to you shortly.
3. Click Close.
4. Open your email inbox, look for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org, click the download link in the email, and save the report to your computer.
5. Open the report in Microsoft Excel or a similar spreadsheet software. If the report contains expandable rows, and if you are using Excel to read the report, you may need to click Enable Editing at the top of the workbook to expand the rows.
NOTE: If you do not get an email from email@example.com a short time after exporting the report, look for the email in your Spam folder. To prevent something similar from happening again in the future, add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email provider's Safe Senders list.
